We backup our expertise with our No Fix No Fee service so if we cannot recover your data we don't charge you.
Recovery Process:
Depending on the type of HP Raid system, the data recovery process can take several paths depending on the HP Raid configuration of your system.
In all cases all hard disks are imaged as part of our standard recovery procedure. This ensures the intergity of the original hard disk's.
We then work with the hard disk images to process the HP Raid system by recompiling the data. This process depends on your HP Raid configutation but often involves de-stripping or recompiling the hard disk images and then processing the data.
We are the only data recovery company that images all hard disks before and after de-stripping-recompiling to ensure the highest possible chance of recovering your data.
We recover HP Raid systems from all Apple Mac, Windows, Linux and Unix systems. So no matter whether its Apple HFS+, NTFS, Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, XFS or ZFS we can recover your data for you. We can also determine the Raid configuration if you are unsure.
HP Raid Raid Configuration:
HP Raid devices support several different data storage configurations, which provide the owner with different data protection levels and different recovery chances if the HP Raid systems fails. The most common HP Raid configuration is RAID 5 with stripe of 64k with backward setup. Please call us on 0207 112 1770 for more details on your setup.
RAID 0: Data is distributed across the drives. This is the best-performing configuration with maximum data capacity. A single drive failure causes loss of all the data. This method is gradually getting replaced with other raid configurations but is still being used in older HP Raid systems, especially HP Precision systems.
RAID 1: Two shared disks are mirrored. This configuration provides great speed but only half of the potential storage capacity. This configuration is rarely used on HP Raid devices but we still see some HP Raid 1 systems with this configuration, especially in ceratin models of HP Precision's.
JBOD: Data on the HP Raid System is spanned along all disks. This ensures full storage capacity and good performance. Single drive failure may cause all data loss. We don't see this often in HP systems unless it has been setup by an network engineer for a purpose.
RAID 5: This is now the most popular and the default for most of HP's Raid servers. Data is distributed across the drives using backward parity rotation. This configuration is fast but space equal to one disk's capacity is lost. The HP Raid 5 system will continue to operate normally even after single drive failure. We normally receive a lot of HP Raid 5 systems due to a one or two disks failing in the raid array or a rebuild that has not completed correctly. HP RAID servers can have a wide variety of RAID configurations.
HP Raid Hard drive systems support different interfaces. Some of the interfaces supported include: HP Raid PATA Drives, HP Raid SATA Drives, HP Raid Portable Drives, HP Raid Mobile Drives, HP Raid IDE Drives, HP Raid SATA Drives, HP Raid SATA II Drives, HP Raid SATA 2 Drives, HP Raid SATA III Drives, HP Raid SATA 3 Drives, HP Raid eSATA, HP Raid SAS Drives, HP Raid SCSI Drives, iSCSI, HP Raid ESDI Drives, HP Raid Fibre Channel Drives, HP Raid USB Drives, HP Raid Firewire Drives and HP Raid PCMCIA Drives.
HP Raid servers have been extremely popular over the last few years due to their good name and robust technology. While very good hard disk drives, HP Raid servers, like all other hard drive systems, they do fail. A sudden failure of the HP Raid server normally means that the raid configuration or electronics has failed in most cases.

Step 1
Send us your hard disk's from the HP Server. We normally ask you to fill out a form with some details regarding the raid system before you send in disks into us to speed up the recovery process. We also request that the numbering of the hard disk stays intact to speed up the recovery process. Please send Hard Drive's to our postal address or phone us on 0207 112 1770 to arrange to drop of the disks to us. All HP raid data recovery jobs need to be priced before they are sent into us. If you are posting in disks to us please send the Hard Drives via a suitable postage service along with your Contact Details (Full Name, Full Postal Address, Phone Number & Email Address). We recommend Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. It is a guaranteed next day service so if you send today we will receive tomorrow. The average costs are £10.00 via this delivery method and the contents are fully insured up to a value of £500.
