Seagate disk's have been extremely popular over the last few years due to their good name and robust technology. While very good hard disk drives, Seagate, like all other hard drives, they do fail. A sudden failure of the Seagate system normally means that the raid configuration or electronics has failed in most cases.
Recovery Process:
Depending on the type of Seagate system, the data recovery process can take several paths depending on the Seagate configuration of your system.
In all cases all hard disks are imaged as part of our standard recovery procedure. This ensures the intergity of the original hard disk's.
We then work with the hard disk images to process the Seagate system by extracting the data.

Seagate Barracuda drives, and especially 7200.7, 7200.8, 7200.9 and 7200.10 7200.11 series have a very common problem with read-heads and fiormware issues. The read write heads becomes more and more unstable during normal wear and tear and the drive starts losing tracks and thus does not read the data.
Seagate's most recent issue has been firmware issues with Seagate Barracuda 7200.11, specifically with Firmware versions SD15, DE12 and HP24. These firmware versions have a high rate of firmware failure. We have a solution that can restore the firmware to these disks without damaging the data on the disks.
