Raid 5 Recovery:

Our Raid server pricing starts at £500+vat. Price will depend on Raid configuration. We are based in London so disk's can be dropped off or sent into us. We believe we offer the quickest and best Raid Data Recovery Expertise in the UK to recover from failed Raid systems. We have recovered from 100's of Dell Raid systems over the last 10+ years. Please call us on 0207 112 1770 to speak to one of our highly qualified engineers for an instant quote.

We have committed years and years of research and development into better ways to recover RAID 5 arrays. Our success rate for RAID recovery is well above 95%, which is a lot higher than most other data recovery companies. We currently support recovery from all types of RAID controllers and Raid Systems.

RAID 5 offers the best mix of data backup, capacity and performance. Although RAID 5 does stripe all available Disks into a single large volume, space equal to one of its hard Disks is used to store parity data. If correctly configured, when one hard drive fails, it will use the parity data to rebuild your data. RAID needs a minimum of 3 hard Disks. Total RAID capacity of the system is calculated by subtracting the space of two disks from the sum of all the hard disks. If you want to use hot spare with RAID 5, you must have a minimum of 4 hard disks. In order for us to perform a successful RAID recovery, we need all of the Disks that are part of the array.

No matter what your Raid raid setup is we can recover the data. Whether it's RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10 or RAID 50. If you don't know the configuration we will be able to advise you via email or over the phone.

We specialise in recovering data from failed Raid systems including Dell Raid, Compaq Raid, HP Raid, Apple Raid, IBM Raid, Intel Raid, Adaptec Raid, Linux Raid and Unix Raid Systems.

We have been recovering Data from all Raid systems going back the last 10+ years.
Our expertise is 2nd to none and in 99% of Raid Data Recovery cases we recover all data.

We backup our expertise with our No Fix No Fee service so if we cannot recover your data we don't charge you.

Recovery Process:

Depending on the type of Raid system, the data recovery process can take several paths depending on the Raid configuration of your system.

In all cases all hard disks are imaged as part of our standard recovery procedure. This ensures the intergity of the original hard disk's.

We then work with the hard disk images to process the Raid system by recompiling the data. This process depends on your Raid configutation but often involves de-stripping or recompiling the hard disk images and then processing the data.

We are the only data recovery company that images all hard disks before and after de-stripping-recompiling to ensure the highest possible chance of recovering your data.

We recover Raid systems from all Apple Mac, Windows, Linux and Unix systems. So no matter whether its Apple HFS+, NTFS, Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, XFS or ZFS we can recover your data for you. We can also determine the Raid configuration if you are unsure.

Raid Configuration:

Raid devices support several different data storage configurations, which provide the owner with different data protection levels and different recovery chances if the Raid systems fails. The most common Raid configuration is RAID 5 with stripe of 64k with backward setup. Please call us on 0207 112 1770 for more details on your setup.

RAID 0: Data is distributed across the drives. This is the best-performing configuration with maximum data capacity. A single drive failure causes loss of all the data.

RAID 1: Two shared disks are mirrored. This configuration provides great speed but only half of the potential storage capacity.

JBOD: Data on the Raid System is spanned along all disks. This ensures full storage capacity and good performance. Single drive failure may cause all data loss.

RAID 5: This is now the most popular and the default for most of the Raid servers we receive. Data is distributed across the drives using backward parity rotation. This configuration is fast but space equal to one disk's capacity is lost. The Raid 5 system will continue to operate normally even after single drive failure. We normally receive a lot of Raid 5 systems due to a one or two disks failing in the raid array or a rebuild that has not completed correctly. RAID servers can have a wide variety of RAID configurations.
