London Clients IBM Hard Drive Recovery Emails

IBM Deskstar DTLA-307045 (46GB) Hard Drive
I have an IBM Deskstar hard drive. It has been acting up lately and I don’t know what to do with it. When I turn on the computer, the hard drive makes a screeching sound for a few seconds and afterwards it stops. Then it makes the screeching sound again then stops. This goes on to forever. It seems as if the hard drive is trying to start but then it stops and tries over and over. The computer does not load the hard drive and so I cannot use it to identify the problem further. I am pretty sure that the hard drive was not hit by anything to get damaged so I don’t know what caused this problem. I have read somewhere that the screeching sound means that the hard drive is physically damaged, if this is the case, what can be done to get the data recovered from the HDD.

IBM Hard Drives
I used to have an IBM Thinkpad 2743 for a long time. It died recently and so I took it apart to check what spare parts I can still use on my new machine. I have taken apart even the hard drive but I think it is still a good drive so I tried putting it into my new computer but no joy as it would not connect to computer. I purchased a usb caddy from Amazon and removed the hard disk from laptop and connected it to the usb caddy and tried to connect it to the my computer but it just would not connect. There is a beeping noise coming from the disk which is unusual.
