TOSHIBA SATELLITE C55D:
I am using a Toshiba Satellite C55D. This computer is only a couple of months old, and I have been using it as a work-from-home computer on days when I don’t go to the office. I have only used it a few times for that purpose. The problems started when I uploaded an update from Toshiba, but when I rebooted, there was only a black screen with white writing, asking me to insert the boot disk. I am using Windows 8, and this doesn’t come with a bootable disk. The problem is that there is a lot of valuable data on the hard drive which needs to be recovered. Can your company recover the data for me within 24 hours?
TOSHIBA SATELLITE C55:
I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite for use in my home. There are a number of computer users in the family, and only one main desktop computer, so the laptop seemed like a good compromise. I got rid of all the excess software installed by Toshiba, but when I came to put my own data on the drive, I discovered a problem. The computer will apparently save the file onto the hard drive, and will even copy it onto a floppy disk, but problems occur after I reboot the computer. After the reboot, if I look in the files and folders or either the hard drive or the backup, there is nothing there. The files, which should contain lots of pictures and word documents, are completely empty. I can’t find the documents which I saved on any part of the hard drive, and yet I know they were there.
